Yorkshire Wildlife Park
Built on a former riding school and farm, Yorkshire Wildlife Park has come along way since it opened in April 2009. A dynamic centre for conservation and welfare, the park has over 400 animals and over 70 different species of animal.
Daneshill Lakes
This site has a range of habitats, including open water, damp willow woodland, drier woodland and grassland. There is a wide variety of flowering plants. Good numbers of willow warbler, whitethroat, and blackcap are present in the summer and in winter siskin, water rail and goldcrest may be seen.

Idle Valley Nature Reserve
This reserve consists of a beautiful 450ha network of lakes, wetland, grassland and scrub. It is home to a diverse range of wildlife and is recognised as one of the richest birding sites in the region. Look out for birds such as gadwall and little grebe in winter and breeding wading birds including little ringed plover and redshank in spring and summer. The Idle Valley Rural Learning Centre is a high quality educational facility based at the south end of the site and is a venue for a range of training courses and events.

Clumber Park
Clumber Park is a beautiful expanse of parkland, heath and woods covering more than 3,800 acres. Clumber was once the country estate of the Dukes of Newcastle. Although the house was demolished in 1938, there are many glimpses of its grand past to explore.

Sherwood Forest is a royal forest in Nottinghamshire, England, famous by its historic association with the legend of Robin Hood.. The area has been wooded since the end of the Last Glacial Period (as attested by pollen sampling cores).Today, Sherwood Forest National Nature Reserve encompasses 423.2 hectares (1,046 acres), surrounding the village of Edwinstowe, the site of Thoresby Hall.
